These are different!

Despite the overall similarity to each other laptops have significant differences. They are divided into several types, which I will describe below.

Subnotebooks

Subnotebooks are called notebooks with screen sizes 11 - 13.3 inches. Thesenotebooks feature small size and weight, but the small size of the screen reduces the usability of this device. Size of sub-notebooks do not indicate a strongcomponent, because there are problems with the cooling, so they often use mobile processors with low power consumption (model LV or ULV). Subnotebooks are rarely equipped with discrete graphics cards, and some models can not install an optical drive.

Netbooks

Netbooks as a separate category of laptops were isolated from the category ofsub-notebooks in the first quarter of 2008 by Intel [1]. Diagonal Size Netbooks from 7 to 12.1 inches. Netbooks are focused on web browsing, e-mail and office programs. For these laptops developed special energy-efficient processors Intel Atom, VIA C7, VIA Nano, AMD Geode. The small size of the screen, small keyboard, and poor performance of these devices is compensated by a moderateprice and a relatively large battery life. Dimensions do not usually allow you to set the notebook optical disc drive, but the Wi-Fi-adapter is a required component.

Budget laptops
Budget laptops - laptops with low price and limited features. These laptops are based on low-cost Intel Celeron M processor and AMD Mobile Sempron, as well as the lower model Intel Core 2 Duo and AMD Turion, sometimes usedprocessors VIA C7. Budget processors often have no better energy efficiency, which affects the battery life of laptops. In some models there is no extra-Wi-Fi-adapter. Screen size budget laptop is usually 14-15 ", although somemanufacturers offer models with a diagonal of 17".
Special position in the series of budget laptops take netbooks with screen sizes 7 - 10.2 inches. These devices were originally developed for the lower price segment, but their performance and comfort of the low and the cost of many models is comparable with the usual budget laptops, making them not the best choice for the role of the host computer.
In order to reduce the cost of low cost laptops often come with no pre-installed operating system, either with or FreeDOS OS preinstalled on the basis of GNU / Linux.
